directory.

Accountants of color do not always have access to networks and opportunities, largely because of privilege and access limitations.
The purpose of this directory is to connect accountants who identify as Black, Indigenous or a person of color (BIPOC) to those opportunities by creating visibility and accessibility to all those featured here.

Please use the guidelines below when interacting with the members of our directory.

  1. Too often, networks have a significant lack of representation for BIPOC professionals. We encourage you to explore this directory to expand your circle to include accountants of color with long term intentions. This helps to ensure true fundamental changes to our networks so that can we see positive changes in the accounting industry.

  2. Our directory is ever growing and filled with many professionals who have a variety of services and experience. Just as you would with any professional - contact and interview to hire them. This directory is not a replacement, back up plan or quick fix for your due diligence.

  3. The directory is a great place to look for potential partnerships, speakers and/or other opportunities. However, it is all too common to tokenize or request services for discounted or no cost - please do not continue this problematic cycle by making requests like this to Accountants of Color. Normalize paying professionals for their work at the full rate requested.

  4. Although a location is listed for all of those who wanted to provide it, keep in mind that most directory participants work with clients nationwide. We encourage you to look beyond local for your next accounting professional, as many provide virtual services to take care of you wherever you are.

Please note that Accountants of Color is happy to support this page as a resource, but we do not provide direct referrals for accounting service.
